I offer private lessons in voice, guitar, and songwriting for teens and young adults—online or in-person in my Canberra studio. These lessons are ideal for curious, creative young people, including those who are shy, neurodiverse, or navigating stress, anxiety, or big emotions.

Lessons are Supportive, Experienced, and Individualised

Because every young person deserves a space where they can grow creatively and feel good in their own skin.

With over 30 years of experience as a teacher and touring performer, I’ve worked with students of all backgrounds—shy kids, anxious teens, neurodiverse learners, and emerging  young musicians who want a place to grow their skills.

I trained in New York City and Sydney, and I’ve taught voice and songwriting in NYC, Austin Texas, and now here in Canberra. I’ve recorded 8 albums, toured across the U.S., Australia, and Europe, and taught in some of the world’s most musically rich cities. I bring all of that experience into every one-on-one lesson.

Whether it’s learning to sing, writing original songs, or playing your favourite songs on guitar, we move at your pace. My studio is a low-pressure, high-encouragement space where creativity is supported and celebrated.

These lessons aren’t about becoming a pop star (unless you want to be). They’re about giving young people tools for life.

Most syounhg people benefit from 6 - 12 months of regular lessons to build confidence, skills, and creative focus.
