Trekking4Nepal - The [Sup]Porter Sunday Session Fundraiser

The Hungry Buddha, 8/8 Luxton Street, Belconnen Canberra

Trekking4Nepal is hosting The [Sup]Porter Sunday Session to raise awareness for continued Nepal earthquake relief support.

The April 2015 Nepal Earthquake caused more than 8,900 deaths, injured nearly 22,000, left $3.5 million homeless, and demolished an estimated $10 billion in infrastructure.

Our aim for this event is to raise $7,500AUD to sponsor an English Teacher ($3,000AUD), and seed fund a sustainable business ($4,500AUD) for the Shree Janshidda Lower Secondary School at Bahadaure within the Kaski District of Nepal.

Join us for an afternoon of Nepali culture, cuisine and fun at The Hungry Buddha in Belconnen!

Tickets are $50 and include a 3-course Nepali banquet, plus entertainment.

Canberra local, and award winning songwriter, Lisa Richards will be performing for us. "Richards is a simple yet powerful songwriter who has beautifully encapsulated the intricacies of the human condition" - The Australian.

Bring some extra cash, as drinks, raffles, and novelty games are available to you on the day.

Once meal costs are covered, 100% of raised funds will be donated to our partner, The REACH for Nepal Foundation – a registered charity with Australian Charities for Not for Profit Commission (ACNC). ABN 30 607 659 567 – and used towards the school project outlined.

Free parking is available at the restaurant, and along the surrounding streets.
